Description

GDPR

GDPR legislation was implemented on 25th May 2018, so CCS has updated the ICT Services for Education Agreement and the Call-Off Contract template to include the GDPR clauses.  This was done as a Contract Variation following engagement with all suppliers to gain their acceptance of the changes.  Please refer to the Supplier Matrix on the Documents tab below for an update on which suppliers have accepted the variation.

ICT Services for Education framework will run for its full four year duration and will expire on the 26 April 2019.

The framework is comprised of a single lot of 20 suppliers providing a diverse range of services and solutions including;

  • Supply and fit
  • Support and maintenance
  • Systems configuration and management
  • Partial or fully managed ICT service
  • Complete integrated service with other technologies/partners
  • Supply and integration of solutions into both green field (new build) situations and legacy environments
  • ICT environments requiring integration and repurposing of existing ICT

Please note this framework is not intended for the isolated procurement of ICT products and or services. For instances where products and/or services are required in isolation customers are advised to use the Technology Products 2 (RM3733) or Technology Services 2 (RM3804) frameworks.

Education Technology: 

The Education Technology agreement will be designed in collaboration with the Department for Education and the Education Skills Finding Agency. Providing schools and Educational establishments the ability to procure Technology through one agreement. Education Technology replaces ICT Services for Education RM1050 which is due to expire April 2019.

Customer notices:
  • With effect from 14 August 2018 Lend lease Construction Ltd has been terminated from this agreement.
  • MISCO UK Limited (company registration number SC114143 has now been formally terminated from this agreement with effect from 20th February 2018. Customers with a live call off will need to make the necessary arrangements to transition to a new supplier immediately.
  • With effect from 17 October 2016 Mouchel Business Services Limited was novated to Kier Business Services Limited. The company number 3679828 and DUNS number remain unchanged.
  • With effect from 21 March 2016 Kelway Limited was renamed CDW Limited. The company number 2465350 and DUNS number remain unchanged.

Access

All competitions under the agreement must be conducted via a further competition. Direct awards can not be carried out.

Customers can engage directly with suppliers ahead of any procurement by means of supplier pre-market engagement events.

Contracts should be awarded on the basis of most economically advantageous tender ("MEAT").

Savings

We have developed a benefits methodology to capture and measure savings based upon a Cabinet Office approved methodology.

With a good selection of suppliers, you will achieve best value for money and demonstrable savings through the further competition process.

The customer guidance document contains a section on best practice to obtain the best value for money and pricing.

Suppliers are required to provide transparency in invoicing to allow you to see clearly the cost of; products, services maintenance installation.

This data will allow you to directly compare the price of products and understand the price implications of your buying practices.

Background

There are 20 established education sector infrastructure suppliers just over 50% of whom are classed as SMEs

ICT Services for Education has been procured by Crown Commercial Service to replace the historic BECTA agreement of the same name.

Designed and built in collaboration with the Department for Education and the Education Funding Agency.

The agreement provides schools, academies, universities and colleges with access to specialist technology services, hardware and infrastructure.

Provides a flexible and quick route for educational establishments to meet their new technology needs and provides customers access to a diverse pool of suppliers ranging from small to large enterprises.

Initial term of two years plus two additional single year extension options.
