Professional Economist Apprenticeship Training - RM6107

We are working in collaboration with the Government Economics Service (GES), to develop a framework agreement which will provide public and third sector bodies a training provider partner to implement  the Professional Economist (Degree) Apprenticeship Training approved for delivery by the Institute for Apprenticeships (IfA) in April 2018.

GES as the lead customer is liaising with central government departments to understand their business requirements, demand and levels of commitment to a central Framework Agreement. The majority of major departments have confirmed buy-in to the central solution.

Our objective is to source an Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) registered apprenticeship training provider that will work in effective partnership with the GES by providing a clear vision and detailed proposed delivery plan for the Professional Economist (Degree) Apprenticeship Training. The GES recognises that investing in people and offering high-quality apprenticeships is a way to grow an engaged, committed workforce that has the right skills to deliver high-quality economist services and sustain long-term competitiveness.

HMT on behalf of GES will manage the overall performance of the provider and each customer will put in place their own call off contract to comply with the ESFA funding and performance management rules.

We anticipate having a provider in place by early September 2018 and apprentices in place September 2019.

The contract notice includes guidance on how potential providers can register their interest.
